Sick Yorkie

On Christmas 2009, we got Toby some nice pork bones for his stocking. We treated him with one and I woke up to quite a mess in the crate.

He actually lost control of his bladder twice yesterday too. This morning, he had gone #2 in his crate, eaten it and then vomited twice. The vomit had soft pieces of the bone in it which leads me to believe that it was the pork bone that did this to him.

He proceeded to throw up two more times (luckily outside). If anyone has any other ideas what this may be, please contact me josiejnk@msn.com. He feels fine otherwise so I am debating weather or not to take him to the vet.

Pork Bones

I'm sorry about Toby. It sounds like the Pork bones could definitely have caused the problem.

Although you'll see lot's of pork products on the market now for dogs, many Vets advise against giving pork at all to dogs. Our own Veterinarian is one of them.

I would keep an eye on Toby. Use common sense and if he continues to have problems such as diarrhea, throwing up lasting longer than 2-3 days, make a trip to the Vet.

:)
