Reverse sneezing caused by rawhide dog bones

My Chiweenie mix was having these "hacking" spells that lasted around 2-10mins where she stands still, extends her head and hacks. I've decided it's reverse sneezing. I couldn't figure out why it was happening so often.

The vet just kept saying "allergies." I always let her chew rawhide bones because it was such a passion for her! However, I was determined to get to the bottom of this allergy problem. I started noticing after she'd chew her bone for a while, she'd have a reverse sneezing episode. I took her bones away from her and the reverse sneezing attacks ceased! She has an occasional episode now as compared to once or twice a week. No more rawhide dog chews gor her!

The reverse sneezing isn't worth it!
