RAWHIDE TREATS

ALL rawhide chews can prove fatal to dogs. I am amazed that these are still freely sold in supermarkets, pet stores and even vets (who should know better).

If eaten they can swell and cause Gastric Torsion (Google it for more info) which is an EXTREMELY painful condition, being a blocking, bloating and twisting of the gut and as I said - can often be fatal in a very painful manner. If your dog DOES like to chew - get him a good quality rubber one and be safe.
