I have a 7 yr old German pointer. He developed diffuse itchiness & multiple patches of hair loss after eating a couple of Walmart rawride bones. It became complicated be a Staph infection due to the stratching. It has been a week since stopping the rawhides combined with a course of Benadryl and Prednisone. The pimply rash has settled but not the itch. Does anyone has any other suggestions?

I gave my dog a rawhide dog chew last night and she developed the same round spots on the top of her head and face. She was scratching all over. Benadryl fixed it, but no more of those rawhides for her!
