rawhide danger

My 11 year old pit-bull mix has eaten rawhide dog chews from Walmart most of her life. Lately, she has been swallowing them and coughing. The other day she vomited about two or three days worth of food that contained three whole chews and two or three chews that were in several pieces. They were still sharp and hard. No more chews for her.

Lucky for her, I brush her teeth once daily. That should help prevent dental issues.
