Raw Hide

I gave my black lab a small rawhide chew bone. I then put him in his kennel so I could go to work for a few hours. When I came back in less than four hours my house smelled horrible. I went to let my dog out and I saw all the diarrhea in his kennel. I took him out to use the bathroom and he had more diarrhea. I thought he was done but I was wrong. He got sick all over my new flooring and my house still smelled. I ended up calling the vet and they said to give him three teaspoons of Pepto Bismal and not give him any food.

After giving the pepto to him his stomach started feeling better so I gave him some crackers because he kept going to his food bowl.

My advice is have Pepto and crackers on hand if you feed rawhide.
