Quick to save my dog from choking on rawhide chew bone

Hi,
Some years ago, my large black lab was enjoying a large rawhide chew that had knots on either end. From my kitchen window I noticed him acting strangely, - backing up with his mouth open. I ran out and reached down his throat - up to my elbow, grabbed the chew and pulled it out.
