We love all dogs and old dog care is a topic that we've come to know well over the years. We've had the pleasure of rescuing many older dogs and our goal has always been to provide them with the best twilight years possible.

Our goals haven't changed much over the years except that we decided it was time to share our experience with others who may need it. We believe that nutrition is the key to good health in both people and pets. We also believe that holistic as well traditional medicine are often needed to maintain health and well being.

An Old Dog's Story

An old, tired-looking dog wandered into the yard. I could tell from his collar (though no tags) and well-fed belly that he had a home. He followed me into the house, down the hall, and fell asleep on the couch.

My daughter seemed o.k. with him so I let him nap. An hour later, he went to the door, and I let him out. The next day he was back, resumed his position on the couch and slept for an hour. This continued for several weeks.

Curious, I pinned a note to his collar: "Every afternoon your dog comes to my house for a nap. Although I don't mind, I want to be sure it's o.k. with you".

The next day he arrived with a different note pinned to his collar: "He lives in a home with ten children -- he's trying to catch up on his sleep.

May I come with him tomorrow"?
