My Shih Tzu swallowed a 5 inch dental chew whole.

He started panting and looking really uncomfortable and he couldn't get settled. A bit foamy at the mouth too. I called the vet and while I was on the phone he vomited the entire thing up! Yeah, my suggestions are to give your dog the huge bones they can chew on and not swallow.

I won't ever give those straight ones again. Praise God he threw it up! We would of been on our way to $$$$. The vet said they can do an ultrasound to find out where it is. Typically when they swallow those hartz chews whole they get uncomfortable because it is lodged in the stomach.
