Miniature Schnauzer Experienced Problems With Hartz Dentist's Best with Denta Shield Twists

by Oneida

My dog, a miniature Schnauzer with no health problems, accepted one of these twists and ate it without any problems. That night he was unable to empty his bowels or urinate. The next day he ate his normal food and again accepted 1 twist without choking or showing any unusual symptoms. That night he started gagging without being able to regurgitate anything. He also was hiccuping constantly, lethargic, and unable to eliminate or drink any water. At midnight he vomited all his stomach contents with the foulest smell. It took another day for him to resume activity and normal eating. I will never give him rawhide treats again after reading about the choking and intestinal blockage that occurs with these products.

denta bones bad news
by: Anonymous

I have a 3 year old fox hound and we gave him a Heartz Dentists Best Chips one night. All night he stared at the ceiling and was hiding in the corner of the room. He trembled all night long. He was in horrible shape.

My husband and I stayed up all night with him.

It's not right, these treats should be taken off the market!!

Hartz Dental Bones
by: Mary

Today10-08-07 I purchased a package of Hartz Dentist's Best with Denta Shield for my Schnuazer
(she has been able to eat all other products I
have given her) but she can't even make a dent in
one of them. Has anyone else had that problem?
