We just had our 12yr old German Shepherd spend 3 hrs in surgery early this morning to remove his cecum.

It will a few days until we will know if he will pull through, but he did have rawhide dog chews within the last 3 weeks. He was so sick it and came on very quick. Initially, the Vet first thought it was due to a tick, but within 3 days he was on deaths door.

Very sad - our fingers are crossed that he will make it.
