Dog Stairs And Ramps

Provide Your Older Dog Freedom To Move Around Independently With Dog Stairs And Ramps!

By placing dog stairs and ramps around the home, your dog can still snuggle into his favorite place. Unfortunately as mans best friend ages it's only natural that he start to slow down. The legs might not work as good as they used to and sadly many dogs develop arthritis or hip-dysplasia making it very painful just to get around. dog-steps

Choosing Between Stairs Or Pet Ramps

Since climbing stairs can be difficult, the incline of pet ramps make them a better choice for older dogs or those with hip dysplasia or arthritis.

If your dog is mobile and in good health, then dog stairs might be an option for you.

Pet Steps & Stairs

  •  Stairs are available in many different sizes. The size and weight of your dog must be considered when determining which ones will work best for your dog.
  •  Take notice to the Height and Depth of each step. Again, how tall your dog is as well as how much he actually weighs must be considered. Of course the larger breeds have longer legs so they might need less steps than smaller dogs.

Indoor Ramps

  •  Ramps should be sturdy, supportive and capable of holding your dog's weight.
  •  The nicest indoor ramps that we have found are made of heavy duty foam. The foam pieces allow you to build an attractive ramp in the exact size that you need. For indoor ramps, make sure the cover is removable for easy washing.

Outdoor Ramps

  •  Most use outdoor pet ramps for providing easy access in and out of the vehicle.
  •  Outdoor ramps range in length, width and price. Again, the size of your dog should be the deciding factor.
  •  For outdoor use, we recommend the telescopic models. They are lightweight and nearly all can hold a dog weighing up to 400 pounds. They are comfortably wide and expandable.
