Considering A Dog Kennel Run For Fido...

If Your Thinking About A Dog Kennel Run, We Have All The Information You Need...
Most dog owners want to provide their dog with as much freedom as possible, while keeping them safe at the same time. If you're considering the different opportunities of backyard dog kennels, we think we might be able to help.

Find a nice flat area and make the run as big as possible so that your dog can exercise freely.

Although we encourage dog owners to provide a backyard dog kennel run for your dog's enjoyment outside, make him as much a part of the family as possible, indoors. If the outdoor kennel will be your dog's home on a regular basis, it's very important that the structure be built upon a concrete slab and a dog house must be included inside the dog kennel run. We also recommend adding a kennel cover over the entire run to further protect the dog from the elements.

If the run is just for enjoyment and exercise for short periods of time, then placing it in a flat grassy area is o.k.

Portable, Box, Modular And Permanent Backyard Dog Runs...
You have several options of structure to choose from when it comes to kennels. Almost all are are now manufactured into panels and come directly to you pre-assembled for easily installation. Use this list to help guide you:

  • A portable dog kennel is generally used for traveling and containing your dog temporarily outside of your own home.

  • A modular dog run might be nice if you have an area that requires length vs width. Providing you purchase a "panel" system kennel, you can always add additional panels to increase the size in the future.

  • The box style kennel run is square shaped and is great for wider areas. Again, you can add additional panels in the future if needed.

Keep in mind that for strong or aggressive dogs or for dogs that will be living in an outdoor kennel year round, make sure you purchase a heavy duty dog run and build on top of a concrete slab. Always keep your dogs run clean and provide a safe and secure environment for him.

Explore your different options and make an informed choice for you and your dog.
