Dog gets very sick on rawhide

I bought Chew-Eez toys for my dog remembering as a kid how my childhood dog lovvvveeeeddd these treats.

Of course Chip (our 9 month old Basset Hound / Lab combo) loves these as well. However, after receiving them on two separate occasions he gets very ill within 20 minutes. Chip starts vomiting, gagging, and cannot seem to get everything up. He walks around the house licking every inch trying to induce himself to vomit.

Finally after a few hours he settles down and gets very tiresome and takes a nap. After a good rest and a few more hours he feels better, but isn't his perky usual self until the next day.

Chip is perfectly healthy, we have raised since 10 weeks of age. He is a rescued dog by North Shore Animal Hospital in NY but has no medical issues.

I can say with a guarantee he will never receive another rawhide product. We enjoy his playful loving nature and hate to see him feeling ill.

Please do not give these toys to your pets. They are not worth his terrible sickness!

Furthermore, stores should stop selling these items. I had no idea as I figured anything in a store would be safe, right??? Really makes you think!
