Pets Are Dying From Traditional Flea Treatments!

Dog Fleas

Controlling dog fleas and ticks with chemicals including the popular spot treatments such as Frontline and Advantage are common practice amongst pet owners. However, more and more pet owners are searching the web and their local pet stores for safer products for the family pet.

Dog flea control products that ultimately hurt our furry kids are no longer an option. The traditional chemical flea treatments including the spot treatments are pesticides (poisons) that are believed to have devestating effects on our dog's and cat's health.

I'm sharing a link with you from the EPA (Environmental Protection Agency) which includes an evaluation of dog flea medicine aka spot treatments and their conclusions. These data evaluation records are from 2008 and in response to an ever growing number of complaints to the FDA (Federal Drug Administration) regarding death and illnesses linked to flea and tick spot treatments.

In the spring of 2009, the incidents grew even more. The EPA formed a team of expert Veterinarians to review data and incident reports. Here's a little from their reports:
"The main organ systems affected in dogs were the dermal, gastrointestinal and nervous system".

  •  Gastrointestinal effects include signs of vomiting, diarrhea and salivation.

  •  Dermal (skin) effects include redness, itching, hair loss, hair color changes, sores and skin ulceration."

  •  Nervous sytem effects include lethargy, nervousness, ataxia, tremors and seizure.

Now, think about the effects that these pesticides and poisons have on our dog's and cat's over time.

Other Findings

  •  Most incidents were classified minor, but ALL PRODUCTS had deaths and major incidents.

  •  Smaller breeds were affected most including Chihuahuas, Pomeranians, Shih Tzus, Dachshunds, Bichon Frise.

  •  Dosage range may be too wide.

  •  Misuse of dog flea control treatment on cats.

  •  Inadequate label warnings.

  •  The companion animal safety study did not predict toxicity seen in the indident reports (WOW!).

It's frustrating for me to think that pet owners are led to believe that their doing something good for their pets, when realistically it's just not true.

I Love This Product

I researched and researched to find a product that was not only all natural, but does the job of killing and repelling fleas and ticks. Because I wanted to be sure before I recommened the product to you, I tested TripleSure on my doberman who is sensitive to many products. The product did great - no fleas or ticks. We tested her for two months during the summer and we do a great deal of walking through the woods, etc.

What led me to this product was that I'm not real fond of placing powders on my dog's skin, especially if they're sensitive. Unlike other botanical oils, Triple Sure only has to be reapplied every two weeks. There are other products that recommend daily applications or even every 2 hours.

Most of us don't have enough time as it is...

I also liked that fact that it was "Guaranteed"! That makes a big difference for me when I'm researching products for myself and for you.

TripleSure Natural Flea & Tick Spray is an excellent product that delivers. I give it a thumbs up!
