Our List Of Recommended Dog Books For Dog Owners

The following dog books and guides are ideal for anyone that owns a dog. We recommend that all dog owners invest in a few dog books. Like any parent, dog owners too can find themselves in unexpected situations and difficult circumstances. Books about dogs provide a wealth of information for first time dog owners as well as seasoned owners.

Since we don't speak the same language as our best friend, it's important to be observant to their needs. Books are an essential tool in providing the ultimate care for the family dog.

Here Are Some Of Our Personal Favorites:

Dog Books

Dr. Pitcairn's Guide To Natural Health For Dogs And Cats by Dr. Richard H. Pitcairn, DVM, PhD. and Susan Hubble Pitcairn extensively covers the importance of quality food and dog health. You will find many special diets for dogs with allergies. Eye, dental and skin diseases are also discussed. This is a book that you will refer to many times over the years.

Dog Books Another of our favorite books is by Cesar Millan, aka, "The Dog Whisperer". "Cesar's Way" is an excellent guide for a gentle training approach as well as understanding just how dogs think.

The book provides information on Leash Training, The Importance Of Being The Pack Leader, Dog Aggression and so much more. This is a MUST READ!

Dog Books If you have ever read any of the "Chicken Soup" books, then you'll understand why this is a classic. Chicken Soup For The Pet Lovers Soul by Jack Canfield, Mark Victor Hansen, Marty Becker, DVM, Carol Kline and Amy D. Shojai is a great read for anyone that loves dogs. This is a book that touches home for every dog owner.
