Dog birthday cakes are a cute idea, but remember that your dog's health should always come first. Like any treat, they should be given sparingly. Use good judgment with all treats!
Birthday cakes for dogs have become increasingly popular over the last several years. Yet, it's very important to not over do the birthday goodies. It would be nice if we never had to worry about what we eat or what our animals eat, unfortunately we do. But, by using moderation your dog can enjoy the best of all worlds. He will stay healthy and fit which of course increases longevity down the road.
We encourage all dog owners to enjoy their dogs and the time that they spend with them. Make celebrating your dog's birthday fun while using good judgment at the same time. We recommend feeding your dog small portions of dog cakes and other treats. Small portions are easier for dogs to digest and process.
Your dog's birthday only comes around once a year and dog birthday cakes are a great way to pamper and have fun with your best friend. By all means, show your dog just how much you love him on his special day.
Try this formula for a more accurate idea of how old your dog really is:
At the age of one, a dog's life is equal to 15 years and at the age of two, a dog's life is equal to 10 years. Every year there after is equal to 3 "Human Years"
Here is an example:A dog that is ten years old:
15 + 10 + (3x8)=49!
A 15 year old dog would be:
15 + 10 + (3x13)=64!
Not only on his birthday but all year long, show your best friend plenty of love, attention and respect.
Remember, the same rule that applies to kids, applies to furry kids as well. Too much is not good for them!
