Doberman Allergy to Rawhide?

I have a purebred Doberman and I find after chewing on a large rawhide, she leaks a lot of urine when she sleeps.

The vet said it was an allergic reaction, she is being treated for her allergies she also leaks urine after eating corn, wheat or chicken products.

Are any of these products used to make or flavor the rawhide dog chews? It doesn't matter if it's American or imported rawhide bones. The food that seems to agree with her the best is Eukanuba for sensitive skin.

However, I am looking for a replacement because the Eukanuba is getting to expensive.

It is highly possible that a dog that has a wheat and corn allergy will also be sensitive to chemicals used in processing rawhide.
I have been trying to find out about the process--so far all I know is that the hide is bleached.

My dog Charley (Standard poodle) does not seem to have any allergies to wheat and corn. I have fed him kibbles with corn and wheat ingredients and he is very fond of Milk Bones, which have wheat flour, wheat bran and wheat germ in the ingredients.

Charley is my fourth Standard poodle, and although all of my previous dogs had long lives and were healthy into old age, I have realized that quality of dog food should not be compromised. I feed Charley Petguard and Premium Edge kibble as well as vegetables,cheese, yogurt, fish, chicken and eggs. Especially for a dog with allergies, any kibble or canned food with by-products, dyes, toxic preservatives is going to exacerbate the allergic reactions. If you go online and research what "by-product" means in dog and cat food, you would never again feed your pet a product with that ingredient.
