Dentley's Rawhide Chew Chips

Our Girl

Our Girl

After one chew chip my Golden Retriever became so ill the vet did not know what was wrong. She was super healthy before the treat. She had diarrhea and vomiting for over 55 hours and we nearly lost her.

I began reading about rawhide chews since this was a rare treat for her. She eats fresh human grade food daily, prepared by me. Turns out that rawhide chews are processed in other countries like Brazil who use things like formaldehyde, arsenic and bleach. These chemicals build up in the system and eventually can kill your dog. Read the labels of all dog food and treats.

If they are made anywhere other than in the U.S., stop and do your homework before you give it to your best friend.

My Chihuahua Had Difficulty Breathing After Eating One Of These NEW
by: Anonymous

I recently purchased Rawhide chew sticks from Petsmart called Dentally's Slow Roasted Natural Rawhide Twists.

My Chihuahua was up all night having trouble breathing. When I looked at the package they were made in Ecuador.

Although she's find today, she had a very hard time during the night after eating one

Outragious Cost Increase
by: tk

I've been giving my dogs Dentley's rawhide chews for a long time. Unfortunately, that now has to end due to their 50% increase in price. I don't know how chews (made from beef scrap) could possibly rival the cost of the actual steak from the same cow.

Dentley's Rawhide Dog Chew Chips
by: c. doucette

We recently purchased Dentley's Chew Chips and both of our dogs have had vomiting and diarrhea after consuming one each for two days in a row.

First our GSP was sick for no apparent reason two weeks ago and then just last night and today, our Wiemaraner is sick as well. We can only attribute it to the rawhide dog chews which we have since thrown away. The odd thing is that now that I know that the foreign made chews can contain all those chemicals, my partner said he thought they smelled of petroleum when he opened the bag, but I didn't notice it.

No more foreign chews for our dogs and thank you for this site!

ADOPT
by: Sharon Ott

2011

Greetings:

We are having an auction on Saturday, June 25, 2011.

Here is the description of our mission for ADOPT (animals deserving of proper treatment). In the history of Jefferson County, Mo., there has never been a shelter that provided warmth in the winter or coolness in the summer for our homeless pets. They have never been to a medical clinic. Many adoptable, homeless pets a year are euthanized because of the poor conditions that exist with the current shelter, which is over 50 years old, rotting, insect -infested, and no heating or cooling with poor ventilation. Our goal is to build a new rescue and adoption shelter with primary emphasis on spaying and neutering with a medical clinic on site. It will be much larger with expanded hours. The new facility will have proper ventilation and heat and air-conditioning. Many innocent lives will be saved as a result of your generosity. Your donation will greatly help with our event.

We are 501C3 and your donation is fully tax deductible. Our tax ID# is 80-0193474.

Thank you so much for your time and consideration. Any questions can be directed to my email, sbernadetteott@aol.com. Or call 636-296-3655. You can mail to Adopt, Sharon Ott, 2306 Lonedell Rd., Arnold, Mo.63010.

Sincerely,

Sharon Ott, committee member
