Our Simple Guide For Removing Urine And Other Accidents

  •  It's up to you to make sure that the dog urine cleaner or dog urine remover that you use will not harm your carpet. It's also important that your carpet is water safe prior to using our method of cleaning.

  •  If you don't already own a small 1.5 or 2 gallon shop vac, buy one. These small shop vacs are convenient, powerful and lightweight making them easy to carry around.

We realize that this isn't the most pleasant topic, however,
we also know what works:

  •  If it's dog vomit, feces or diarrhea, pick-up what you can with paper towels or tissue.

  •  It's important that you NEVER SOAK your carpet. Pour a small amount of warm water, approximately one-quarter to one-half cup onto the problem area and leave it sit for a few seconds. Next, use your shop vac to thoroughly extract the warm water carefully removing all water and urine.

  •  Spray the area with your dog urine remover of choice (following the manufacturer's instructions on the bottle). Extract all the liquid and cleaner from the carpet with the shop vac.

  •  When done correctly, the carpet should be "slightly damp" with no odor at all.

  •  Blot the area with paper towels using your feet (wearing shoes of course).

  •  For cleaning dog urine, this process usually works the first time. However, repeat the process if necessary.

Be sure to rinse out your shop vac each time including running water through the hose as well.

Accidents Happen

Is it true that my dog will go back to that same spot again? Absolutely not, providing all traces of the problem substance are completely removed. Understand that owning a dog doesn't mean that you can't enjoy a nice home and share it with your best friend as well.

Keep your dog clean, keep your mini shop-vac close by and always stock your pantry with an effective dog urine cleaner.
